About the Workshop

Hi, my name is Matthew Parsons. I'm an English writer and the founder of Matt's Novel Workshop.

My vision for my workshop is to encourage insight and storytelling within myself and others. In a world where everyone has the potential to achieve greatness, it only seems right that we should work to achieve it. Our experiences and our stories should be told, but how they are told is equally as important as the person telling them. I wish to become this and foster it within those near to me.

My biggest inspiration is Unus Annus. Created in 2019 by Ethan Nestor-Darling and Mark Fishbach, this YouTube channel is now considered by many an urban legend or a cult, but to me it's home. It reminded me to embrace myself, to take risks and never allow myself to regret. My favourite thing about Unus Annus is the fulfilment of their promise; I witnessed the final moments of their lives, and the ultimate sacrifice they made filled me with an intense feeling of personal triumph that I will never forget. I hope that on my final day I can look into the eyes of those that I love and inspire that.
